What PIQ can and can't do

Control stays with you.

Your PIQ Wallet

  • Moves only with your approval, on your device.
  • Protected by more than one key. PIQ holds only one.
  • Recoverable if you lose your phone.

Connected accounts

  • Stay with the institutions that hold them, in your name.
  • Read-only where possible.
  • Your login stays with them, not PIQ.

External wallets keep their own keys and sign their own transactions.

Three keys

Any move needs two.
PIQ alone is not enough.

A little deeper

The detail, if you want it.

How is my PIQ Wallet protected?

Three keys guard it: one on your device, one recovery key in your iCloud Keychain, and one held by PIQ. Any move needs two of the three. PIQ's key is only ever one, so nothing PIQ does alone can move your money — and losing your phone doesn't lose your wallet.

Can PIQ move my money?

No. PIQ can prepare a transaction and show it to you. It becomes real only when you approve it on your device.

What about the accounts I connect?

They stay with the institutions that hold them, in your name. PIQ connects through the same account-connection providers other apps use, read-only where possible, and never sees your login credentials.

What if I connect an external wallet?

It keeps its own keys and signs its own transactions. PIQ can show you a transaction; it cannot sign for that wallet.

Is Face ID the same as approving a payment?

No. Face ID opens the app. Approving a move from your PIQ Wallet is a separate step that uses your device's own secure hardware, every time it matters.

Does PIQ know a payment went through?

Only once it has confirmed it on the network itself. Your balance changes when PIQ has checked, not when something says "sent".

Money,
your way.
